A Night Worth Remembering
Step into a 1920s-inspired evening of music, dining, and meaning. Humanitarian Foundation ล umadija and the Serbian American Medical Association invite you to our most extraordinary night of the year โ a Grand Benefit Gala where elegance meets purpose, and where every guest becomes part of something larger than themselves.This year, we are raising funds for N.U.R.D.O.R. โ the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer in Serbia. An organization founded by parents who lived this. Who understand it. And who refuse to let any other family walk it alone.

Picture a country club ballroom dressed in gold and emerald. Champagne flutes catching the light. Live music carrying through the room. A formal dinner with friends, family, and community โ gathered around something bigger than ourselves.

Why We're Here
When a child in Serbia is diagnosed with cancer, their family's world changes overnight. Treatment can mean traveling hundreds of kilometers from home. It can mean a parent leaving their job. It can mean siblings staying with relatives for months on end.
For 17 years, N.U.R.D.O.R. โ the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer โ has been the organization that holds those families together when everything else feels like it's falling apart.
How They Show Up for Families
NURDOR is led by parents who lived this. That is why we chose them โ with our whole hearts.
Our Goal: $25,000
Every dollar raised at the Gala goes directly to three of NURDOR's Parent Houses in Serbia. Funds will support:

๐ Housing maintenance - Keeping NURDOR's Parent Houses safe, clean, and welcoming for the families who depend on them.

๐ Travel to and from the hospital - Covering the cost of getting families to their child's treatment โ every visit, every appointment.

๐ Easing the financial burden - Helping families focus on what matters most: being present for their child.
Because every child deserves access to medical care. And every family deserves support during the hardest moments of their lives.

This year's Gala is co-presented with the Serbian American Medical Association (S.A.M.A.) โ and the partnership couldn't be more meaningful. What started as our team attending one of S.A.M.A.'s events has grown into a shared evening built on shared values. For over a decade, S.A.M.A. has united clinicians, medical professionals, and supporters of Serbian heritage in America around one mission: improving healthcare in Serbia and the Balkans. HF ล umadija brings the community. S.A.M.A. brings the medical voice. NURDOR brings the children we're all here for.

A: Formal attire โ think Gatsby. Black tie is optional, gowns are encouraged. Dress to feel beautiful.
Q: Is there parking?
A: Yes โ complimentary on-site parking is available at Park Ridge Country Club. Valet access is included for Gold and Platinum sponsors.
Q: Is this event tax-deductible?
A: Humanitarian Foundation ล umadija is a 501(c)(3) certified nonprofit. A portion of your ticket may be tax-deductible. Sponsorships above the value of tickets received are also generally deductible. Please consult your tax advisor.
Q: Are tickets refundable?
A: All ticket sales are final, as proceeds go directly to NURDOR. If you can no longer attend, we encourage you to gift your ticket to a friend or family member.

A: Absolutely. You can donate any amount directly at hfsumadija.org. Every dollar makes a difference.
